Sustaining Social Justice: How Black Women Have Paved the Way to Long-term Change This session will explore past moments of historical social change in the US and attempt to identify lessons that can be applied to the present day movement, so that the reforms born of our current fight can be truly sustainable and enduring. The panel will give particular consideration to the role that Black women play in shepherding long-term change, serving as their own savior, and shouldering the weight of social movements.
