NVIDIA RTX Voice Benchmark on GTX vs. RTX GPUs, Gaming Performance, & Voice Quality

NVIDIA RTX Voice Benchmark on GTX vs. RTX GPUs, Gaming Performance, & Voice Quality This benchmark tests NVIDIA RTX Voice for gaming performance impact, mostly to determine if RT hardware is even being used. 2080 Super, 2060, and GTX 1080 included.

There are plenty of other videos showing how RTX Voice works, so we wanted to focus on the benchmarks (with a minor addition of quality comparison between GTX & RTX).

NVIDIA RTX Voice is still in early, early beta, with NVIDIA pulling the application forward for a launch during the current time of everyone being on conference calls. The decision to move RTX Voice forward was partially an internal one, as NVIDIA's own staff suddenly found itself constantly on calls with teammates in possession of noisy microphones. RTX Voice is supposed to eventually be targeted at streamers and content creators specifically, although it also benefits users of applications like Zoom or Discord. RTX Voice isn't specific to NVIDIA RTX cards in a sense -- the sense that you can force it to work with GTX cards -- but it only natively supports RTX devices. It's easy enough to unlock (we explain how to use NVIDIA RTX Voice on GTX cards in this video, timestamped below), but it's also not officially supported. Using RTX Voice in-game results in a significant chunk of performance being taken out, but NVIDIA is aware of this and emphasized heavily that this is only the very early beta stage. The company intends to heavily optimize later on, but is focusing first on getting the noise suppression solution working.
