This is one of our favorite dessert recipes particularly during Ramadan Fasting times as part of Iftar. This delicious combination of caramel, custard and chocolate is an enjoyable treat. First we make some caramel sauce by whisking sugar, butter and fresh cream in low flame until the sugar caramelizes. Next we prepare the custard by adding milk and sugar in a pot and then adding instant custard powder mix in the boiling milk. Then we prepare the chocolate mix by mixing some melted chocolate, butter and fresh cream. For the assembling process we dip some cookies in milk and place as bottom layer, top it up with a layer of caramel and then custard, we repeat this layering until we are close to the top. On top part of the bowl, we add the melted chocolate and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight. Finally we garnish with cocoa powder and chopped almonds before serving. Serves as a superb dessert and tastes best when served chilled.
