Welcome back TheThings fans and fellow Potter Heads! We’re taking a deep dive into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and uncovering what some of the most magical scenes would look like without the actual magic.
There’s nothing like throwing our worries aside and settling in for a good old Harry Potter marathon, but once the ending credits of Deathly Hallows roll we’re thrust right back into the world of muggles. Believe it or not, the filming of Harry Potter was actually pretty mundane.
We might think that the Harry Potter cast - Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint - spent months living in a world of wands, flying brooms, and magical creatures but it wasn’t exactly like that.
Without the help of CGI and other visual effects characters like Dobby, Kreacher and Buckbeak wouldn’t have been possible. And watching the actor’s film Quidditch scenes? Well, that’s surprisingly entertaining and it might not look magical but it definitely seems like it was uncomfortable.
We’ll also be covering Harry Potter scenes like The Triwizard Tournament, Voldemort and Harry’s final battle, and the relentless Whomping Willow.
No matter how many birthday wishes we wasted growing up hoping that we’d one day get our very own Hogwarts letter, it just isn’t real. But that doesn’t mean we can’t still discuss our favorite scenes below. Tell us which Harry Potter moment you were most shocked to see without its magic. Make sure to hit that subscribe button and we’ll catch you in another video. Thanks for watching!
