Inhale, exhale — taking a moment to pause all of the thoughts running through our heads can help us focus on how we’re feeling in the moment.

Bob Roth, CEO of the David Lynch Foundation, tells us about how the Quiet Time program helps kids, teachers, and parents check in on their feelings and lower their stress levels through meditation.

'What it does is it allows a child to take a few minutes, close the eyes, and experience a field of quiet silence that already exists deep within us,' Roth explains.

This kind of mindfulness can relieve stress and wake up the mind to creativity.

Every person on the planet feels a multitude of emotions. And by understanding how they feel, people can understand how those around them feel too, through empathy.
