This is a very good robust model, provided glue is used for most parts. Glue is essential for the wheels. Needle files are desirable to persuade some parts to fit. The finished model is realistic and certainly could not be mistaken for anything else.
this is another models the Male kinfolk like to make. we have never had a problem with them they have something to pass the time.
I purchased this as a present for my brother. He has a real Land Rover Defender. He was so excited at opening it he did a little jig around the room.
He put it together within the hour. Having done this and realising that the bodywork on this new Defender was better than his real one, he promptly transferred the engine and running gear across.
Had great fun making this with my girlfriend! No messy glue or fiddly bits! Wouldn’t recommend for small children as they may struggle with the smaller bits and not pressing too hard and breaking things... Otherwise it’s great! LOVE IT!
Could of done with more instructions tho I believe they are on line. Good fun to build, I did it with my 5 year old grandaughter as part of a transport project, and used along with The Landy book series, good fun
Good quality kit, giving a very pleasing result. Probably a bit of a challenge for a youngster on his own, but I guess most dads and granddads won't be able to resist showing "how it's done." (Surely, that alone is a good reason to buy)?
Good quality product but the printed instructions were rubbish (fairly non existent). You need to find the ones published on the internet (given a link to them in the product) to a video which shows you how to assemble.
Quite complicated to follow instructions for my 10 year old but the quay YouTube guide was a real help. Little bit of sand paper was useful. Will buy another.
Great lockdown project for anyone in to crafting and modal cars or land rovers. Good days build to pass away the time in isolation from covid.
