So many people are not doing a rotational golf swing. Instead, they're keeping their head too still creating a more vertical swing. A vertical swing can lead to compression of the spine which will certainly not be a pain free golf swing not to mention a lock of power and consistency.
I've been teaching a rotational golf swing since 1991 and I can say that this is the best golf drill you can be doing to at least get the feel for it. Once you do, you can hit a ball with the same feeling and start to make to a rotational swing rather quickly.
Please don't try this drill a few times and quit. For best results you should be doing a drill like this (or any other swing changes you might be making) for 1 bucket of balls. As you hit them, you should be able to get a feel it and hit some great shots. If so, that's what's coming in the future if you keep working on it. If you don't hit some great shots in that same bucket then that change is probably not for you.
