Welcome to Beating the Retreat 2020! For many years now Beating the Retreat has marked the beginning of a very special week: the last week of the session, and for several band members their last week at St Columba’s School.
After celebrating success at the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships, band members have been practising at home and playing for our key workers. Even a global pandemic and lockdown could not stop our St Columba’s School Pipe Band.
Despite current social distancing guidance and lockdown restrictions, we are delighted to still bring the joy and excitement of ‘Beating the Retreat’… but this year it is from the comfort of your own home!
