April 26 Acts 2:14, 22-33 | Ps 16 | 1 Pt 1:17-21 | Lk 24:13-35
We hear today the account of Jesus meeting two of His disciples on the road to Emmaus. The disciples were saddened at the death of Jesus, not realizing the necessity of His Passion for the redemption of mankind. Jesus explains this to them and reveals Himself to the disciples, who then go on praising and proclaiming the Risen Lord. Let us imitate this supernatural joy and share it with others especially in these trying times.
