We have learned the A minor pentatonic scale in all 5 shapes which is the most used scale on the Ukulele, and the second most popular on guitar so it is will be one that you would be jamming with both your Ukulele and your guitar, but now it is time to learn how to play the E minor pentatonic in all five shapes. This scale is the 2nd most popular on the Ukulele and the most popular on the guitar, so again, if whether you are jamming alone, with other ukulele players or with guitar players, this will be a scale that you will be using a lot.

This scale can be used to improvise and create melody with songs in the key of E minor, G major and E blues. The E note would be used for minor resolution and the G note would be used for major resolution, both notes are highlighted so you know where they are in the progression.

In the lesson we are going to teach with the low G so you can see the scale on all four strings, but that doesn't mean that you need a low G string to follow along with the lesson.
