Nakuru farmers want stimulus package to avert looming food shortage

Farmers in Nakuru County are proposing a stimulus package that will among others include tax breaks on farm inputs, as well as enable them replenish food reserves and safeguard livelihoods to avert looming food shortage during coronavirus pandemic. The farmers argue that demand for food is sharply rising especially in urban settlements and this could drain farmers granaries.
